No garbage cans at Palmy
---------------------------------------
27th October and the first round of the Placemakers Superstock series was held at a cold Palmerston North. No garbage cans(tanks) to play with so the next on the list is Panther members.

$80.00 in petrol in towing one way got me down there but silly me forgot avgas and I only had half a tank, noone had any spare, a couple of drivers(whom shall remain anomynous) did say to me well wait and see who breaks down in the first race and buy some of them, I said what if noone looks like breaking down then I will have to break someone....they didnt look very amused lol.

Lining up in the pits was a bit of a wait so killed the engine was a bit worried when turning on the switch I had no ignition but after fiddling around several times I got it fired up. Grid 8 and not a very good start but latched on behind everybody though at the far bend coming up to the first lap the car died so I drifted onto the infield, after fiddling with the ignition it fired again but cut out. I was thinking to myself here we go yet again.

Back in the pits I tightened up the ignition switch and turned it on off several times with success so was all go for the second race.Grid 17 of the start leant on 77P (Chuck) Norris a little to see what he would do he either didnt want to go at first or had a bad start, decided to give him some room and let him go run for a while keeping the same distance behind the tail enders but not catching up to them and thought bugger this so slowed.
Kim Lace came round so had a little stab at him think he got a bit crossed up and maybe someone else spun him, waited again down pit corner for the first Panther to come along and had a go at 58P Peter Bengston, Waited for him again at the end of the Grandstand straight and sure enough he came along pushing me towards the corner thought i was going in head first but for whatever reason contact broke and i was able to bring the 13B around collecting the wall sideways.
At the same time Peter came in again hard lifting the 13B in the air on contact...felt that one, knocked a bit of wind out but managed to keep going.

Waited again was thinking about having a go at that flag racer 2NZ Pete Rees a couple of times as he went round the outside but knew I would have my hands full with Bengston as he would be fired up, sure enough saw him coming and slowed by the start finish line, my intention was to take the hit from behind and hold him but I had a flat left rear and the pushing turned me around. The car died but to my delight fired up again then graunch graunch couldnt get a gear .

Fustrating because I wanted to cross the line to get some points out of the night but more so I wanted to be able to drive of the track. My rev counter was knocked out, hanging by the wires,  I havent yet checked why I cant get gears seems like the thrust bearing or pressure plate is where the problem is. My right front wheel is on an angle, the stub axle is either badly bent or broken. No damage to the chassis though and my super sexy(human) body is fine.

I am out to entertain to repay the many fans that have kept their faith in me, though nothing overly spectacular yet the season is young its entertainment you want and its entertainment you get that is one thing I can promise.

After the failure of the 13B Engine, in the Tanks team race last season, I need your support in return for this season for I firmly believe my flat chassis is the best weapon against the tanks in a teams race, and I so want to prove that.

On a final note thanks to Palmerston North Hospitality its an enjoyable venue to race at.Now where the heck did I put that stuffed Panther toy I like to kick around.......
