 STRAWBERRY BLEW A RASBERRY
-------------------------------------------------------
What would the season be without another blown engine...or two?hmmm.

Meeanee and 10th November Guy Fawkes Meeting was meant to be fireworks for the spectators but the 13B decided to have a fizzer of its own. Many thanks for the work from Tony True to get the car fixed from the last meeting which was the Placemakers Superstock series at Palmerston North.
The Gear box had to be removed a couple of times to replace the Broken Pressure plate and adjustments, the front right stub axle had to be replaced and a new one made up,some welding to the chassis, forgot about the broken wing and this was removed prior to the first race.

Race 1 and present were 4B John Hynd,5G Joe Faram, 6B Mike Groom, 7B Shane Mellsop,8B Craig Owens,10B Sam Bartholomew,13B Myself,16B Steve Jude,55B Tony True and thrown in were the keen stockcars of 37B Ricky Kuru,49B Mark Jones,52B Regan O'Brien,84B Mike Mac didnt quite make it out.
I was of grid 3 behind Tony True and at the start leant on Joe faram whom was outside of me the idea was to hold him to give him a handicap but someone from behind moved me off him, ran for a while but the stockcars got past and soon realised i was only running on 7 and backed of as was popping half way down the straight.

Saw Shane Mellsop in the lead with John Hynd right on his tail and was undecided which to go for ,should have gone out on both of them but too late they are gone, was wondering where the heck Faram was ...way back, made a move as he passed but no revs car was slowing and was watching the gauges more than anything else then noticed was losing oil pressure and crawled on to the last corner was going to shut down when i saw Regan O'Brien making a move for a right hand swoop hit on me (he couldnt help himself, like an annoying little fly lol), saw him coming in and was going to move so that he would miss but I wasnt going anywhere was just a sitting duck, engine had gone.
Hynd won the race after Shane Mellsops head or heads had gone.Tony True scoring a good second in the second and final race of the night for Superstocks.

Was so looking to Stratford this Saturday for the second round in the Placemakers Superstock series,as the car goes well on that track, but the engine will be coming out this week. Wally True has started putting another engine together with bits and pieces we have here there and everywhere, but I need about a grand to get it completed ,theres plenty of room on the car for some sponsorship,so if any one is willing please contact me on 027 278 5883 or email me martyka13@yahoo.com.
