I've run out of time to write more than just the barest review of this meeting . Besides just as the Kihikihi site was very imformative in the lead up to this the biggest meeting competitor wise ever run at Kihikihi the site has a great review already published . Click here to read it .

From a spectators point of view this meeting was a pleasant experience . Nice weather , welcoming ticket sellers , the seamless running of the championship , the informative commentating by Mintie and Barry Brown . Results were forthcoming . Probably the minor volume issues with the sound system at times the only let down .

Also impressive was the fact the 3 heat championship finals were done and dusted within a 3 hour time frame . The track stood up well to the two days of action and support classes ran efficiently to pad out the show .

As for the on track action , well there was plenty of it particularly in qualifying with numerous roll overs and other incidents . As a Rotorua supporter it was a little perturbing that none of the nine Rotorua cars that qualified made it to the podium and the highest points scorer at the start of the third heat won the race with barely a shot being fired at him . 89w Dale Robertson drove well and smart to carry off this championship and is definately a class act of that there is no doubt .
